Is it cheaper to replace with tile or Colorbond?
Colorbond is usually slightly cheaper to install because it's lighter, faster, and doesn't need as much structural support. Long-term, both last 40+ years if installed properly.
Will a Colorbond roof make my house hotter?
No. Modern Colorbond is supplied with anti-glare and Thermatech reflective technology that actually reflects more heat than a tile roof. Add the free 50mm insulation blanket we include and your home will be cooler than it was with the old tile roof.
Do I need council approval to replace my roof?
Usually no. Like-for-like replacement is exempt development in most Adelaide councils. Tile-to-metal conversion may need a building rules consent depending on the council. We handle the paperwork.
How long will it take?
